Little Trees came to MindSmack looking for a complete redesign and development of their old flash website and to develop a catchy game that would be fun for all of their online traffic. The story of little trees is fascinating, here is a piece from their about section:
In 1952, a milk truck driver in Watertown, New York, USA complained to a local chemist about the smell of spilled milk. Luckily for that driver, the chemist was Julius Sämann, who had spent several years extracting essential oils from pine needles in Canada. Sämann quickly discovered that putting high-quality fragrance on porous card stock was a highly effective way to make a quality air freshener. He soon sketched the now-famous Little Tree shape and coined the name “Car-Freshner”. An American legend was born!

The company has grown steadily over the years. Today, we have factories in Watertown, New York, Berlin, New Hampshire and DeWitt, Iowa making every Little Tree air freshener sold in the United States. We have added over forty fragrances to the original Royal Pine, ranging from Vanillaroma to Black Ice. We also offer many other types of innovative air fresheners, with every imaginable technology and aroma.
